How do you think God sees you? Do you think God sees you as your mistakes? Your pain? Your shame? Your guilt? Your addictions?
He doesn’t see any of that. Because He isn’t looking at you through human eyes with limited human understanding.
He’s looking at you through His eyes. Eyes that see with unconditional love. With unending grace. With everlasting mercy. With constant compassion.
Because when God sees you, He is looking at you through the grace of the Cross.
He doesn’t see the darkness of your past.
He doesn’t see the selfishness of your choices.
He doesn’t see the depths of your guilt.
He sees His creation. He sees His child. He sees His beloved.
He sees you and loves you. In your innermost being, at the core of who He created you to be. His child. His wonderfully fashioned and lovingly created child.
Not the weight of your shame. Not the depth of your pain. Not the burdens of your past.
He sees you, His child. Healed fully. Restored completely. Alive and thriving.
Always adored. Completely cherished. Perfectly precious.
He sees you as He created you to be. A warrior. A prince(ss). Victorious in all things.
So stop looking at you. Stop holding onto your past. Stop clinging to your guilt. Stop dragging around your pain.
And start seeing yourself as He sees you. A masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). Lovingly fashioned (Psalm 139). Purposefully created (Jeremiah 29:11). Bountifully blessed (Deuteronomy 28:1-14).
